Equipped for Excellence

Merchant Institute of Nursing provides students with purpose-built laboratories that replicate real clinical environments. Each lab is equipped with industry-standard tools, anatomical models, simulators, and modern technology — giving students the confidence and competence to excel in healthcare.

Anatomy Lab
01 Pre-Clinical Science

Anatomy Lab

A specialized laboratory where students study the structure of the human body through 3D models, specimens, charts, skeletons, and anatomical teaching aids. It forms the foundation of medical and nursing education by helping students understand the organization and relationship of body parts.

Human torso models, heart, brain, kidney & reproductive system models
Skull and bone specimen collection — mandibles, vertebrae, long bones
Neuron, urinary system & circulatory system display boards
Laminated wall charts — skeleton, digestive, female reproductive system
Pre-Clinical Science Lab with blackboard diagrams and student demonstrations
Foundation Lab
02 Clinical Skills Training

Foundation Lab

The Foundations of Nursing (FON) Lab is a simulated clinical environment where students learn, practice, and master basic nursing skills on manikins and models before treating real patients. It bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application.

Hospital beds with full bedding for bedmaking and patient positioning practice
Patient simulators and manikins for CPR and vital signs training
Suction apparatus, oxygen cylinders, wheelchairs and stretchers
Skills practiced: wound dressing, injections, IV therapy, catheterization
Patient position teaching wall chart and procedure trays
MCH Lab
03 Maternal & Child Health

MCH Lab

The Maternal and Child Health Lab provides a comprehensive teaching environment for hands-on training in the care of mothers and newborns. Students practice obstetric examinations and childbirth procedures using anatomical simulators.

Anatomical birthing simulator for labor progression and delivery training
Human embryonic and fetal development stage models
Pelvic model and full obstetric instrument tray on surgical drape
Training in Leopold Maneuvers and obstetric examinations
Newborn care bay with infant crib and immunization schedule display
Community Lab
04 Public Health Training

Community Health Lab

A dedicated educational facility designed to train nursing students for work in community and home healthcare settings. The lab prepares students to manage health at the population level through practical field-simulation exercises.

Basana Village PHC model — rural primary health centre simulation
Surgical and diagnostic tools including reflex hammers and nursing articles
Infant and adult weighing scales for growth monitoring
Immunization schedule project display with OPV, BCG, DPT protocols
Health committee timeline poster covering India's healthcare infrastructure
Nutrition Lab
05 Dietary Science

Nutrition Lab

The Nutrition Lab plays a crucial role in nursing education by giving students practical experience in dietary assessment, diet planning, and patient nutrition counselling — skills directly linked to improved patient outcomes and holistic care.

Fully equipped kitchen counters for food preparation and food science experiments
Diet planning station for therapeutic and clinical nutrition practice
Patient education simulation materials for nutrition counselling
Supports interdisciplinary collaboration and clinical competence development
Advance ICU Lab
06 High-Fidelity Simulation

Advance ICU Lab

A high-fidelity simulation environment aligned with INC standards, designed to train students in complex clinical procedures using advanced simulators and modern medical technology. Covers critical care, emergency scenarios, and ICU management.

Advance ICU simulation bay with medical mannequin on hospital bed
Oxygen cylinder, sterilization machine and suction equipment
Emergency code chart — Cardiac Arrest, Fire, Paediatric Emergency protocols
